正法眼蔵 辨道話（１３）
見在 gen-zai 、大宋 dai-so には
臨済宗のみ天下にあまねし
（ 現在、大宋国では
（ 臨済宗が全国に行き渡っています
Currently in the Song Dynasty
Rinzai sect is widespread all over the country
五家 go-ke ことなれども、ただ一仏心印なり
（ 五家それぞれですが
（ 坐禅を仏の印章とするところは同じです
Each of the five denominations
The place where zazen is the seal of the Buddha
is the same.
大宋国も後漢よりこのかた
教籍 kyo-seki あとをたれて一天にしけりといへども
（ 大宋国も後漢の時代以降
（ 多くの経典が伝えられ、天下に広まりました
Since the time of Houhan
Many Buddhist scriptures were brought
雌雄いまださだめざりき
（ しかし、その教えの優劣は不明のままでした
However, the superiority or inferiority is unknown
祖師西来ののち
直 zi-ki に葛藤の根源をきり
純一の仏法ひろまれり
（ しかし、達磨大師が中国に来られてからは
（ 経典に迷う、という事がなくなり
（ 純一の仏法が広まったのです
