正法眼蔵 辨道話（ ９６）
仏祖しきりに
修行のゆるく すべからざる
とをしふ
頭で天を衝き、腰を大地に埋める
With your head, hit the sky. Bury your waist in the earth
自ら、身体の輪郭線に立つ
Stand on your own, on the contour line of your body.
そこで内面と外界(外側の面）を糊付けします
So we glue the inner surface to the outer surface.
面と面をぴったり合わせるわけです
Merges face and face exactly into one face.
もしどちらかが、でこぼこしてたらどうでしょう
What if one of them is bumpy?
ぴったり合いません
It doesn't fit perfectly.
仮に私達が、身体の輪郭線上にいたとしても
Even if we were on the contours of the body.
視線と言う矢を眼の外へ放ったら、どうでしょう
What if I shoot an arrow called a gaze out of my eye?
それがデコボコになり、二つの面は密着しないでしょう
It will be uneven and the two surfaces will not adhere
視線と言う矢を放たない
I don't shoot arrows that say "gaze
視線を眼の中に留める
Keep your gaze within your eyes
これが大事になるかも知れません
This could be important.
